This was the 2nd year we have rented a condo on this property. This unit was a studio w/ loft. the loft would not be safe for children or elderly. the stairs were dangerous and not up to code. the outside stairs were also uneven and not up to code. The kitchen/bath/living room were very nice. washing machine was not balanced and made terrible noise. Dryer was not vented outside and made the condo hot and humid. Everything else was in working order. The loft needed a small TV. The bed sagged a bit and the floor in loft needed some serious repairs. I would not rent this unit again next year. Six loud children live next door.
There is no wi-fi, but that was not an issue for us. Kuilima Estates is the best place to vacation on Oahu!

My family is from Oahu and I was travelling back to the state for my cousin's wedding at Turtle Bay Resort. My whole family rented several condos in the same complex and we had a nice family reunion this past Dec. The resort itself is quiet and relaxing with easy access to the golf course and beach. Everything that you would want in a very relaxing Hawaiian vacation. No traffic like in "town" (Waikiki), just a nice place to enjoy family and get a tan.
The condo I rented was very nice and clean. Nothing fancy, just a place to hang your hat. Renovated kitchen with utensils, washer/dryer and a loft area for the bed. Big ceilings so it didn't feel so tiny.
There were permanent residents below the condo but I didn't hear any noise from them. I ran into them a couple of times and they seemed like nice people.
Overall, if you're on a budget and want to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed Hawaii, I would definitely recommend this place. I didn't realize how relaxing it was until we moved to hotel rooms in Waikiki for the rest of our stay. I missed the condo and the easy atmosphere.

Overall this property was great,as I had a friend's wedding at Turtle bay resort. This property is easy 10 min walking distance from the resort and came in at about 1/3 of the cost of the resort!! There was also washer and drier so could catch up on my washing.

We enjoyed our stay, the condo is a little outdated, and the carpet needs to be replaced,the kitchen had new appliances and was nice. For the price it was a nice place.

I attended a wedding nearby and stayed here for two nights. Yes, the furniture and decor are a little out of date, but the place had everything I needed -- a fully equipped (and remodeled) kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, and washer/dryer (though they were quite loud when running). This is a fine place to stay if you're spending most of your time out and about.

Booked this room for a quick getaway and fell in love with the place. Although its a loft style condo, the place felt spacious while still maintaining separation from the kitchen, laundry room, living room, and bedroom loft. The condo was clean, readily furnished and supplied with laundry soap, kitchen appliances and dishware, and bedding. We had an unforgettable time and would recommend this property to anyone.

Overall I liked the place and it was fairly quite. They should replace the couch that is ripped and probably change the carpet. Overall the place was good and I enjoyed it and the location. Close walk to the hotel for coffee and pastry and easy access to the golf course.

I loved the location to where I had to attend the conference but i was a little put off by the condition of the carpet and the tears in the couch. It was a little dated and I thought it was a bit fraudulant considering the photos did not show this. i do understand these are rentals but still. I loved the fact there was beach towels and a chair I counld take down to the beach.

Our condo was excellent and worked out nicely. Walking distance to all the activities, pools, surfing, snorkeling, golfing, beaches, you name it! Close to Turtle Bay Resort restaurants and nightlife. If I have one complaint it is we chose this place because we could walk everywhere, unfortunately the rental office is off site 3 1/2 miles away so checking in/out without a car was an inconvenience. Why isn't the rental office on site?

This unit could easily use some sprucing up. Most of the furniture looks original & soiled. The loft area is cramped but do able. The kitchen faces the parking lot so without window shades it is not very private trying to have a meal in there. It would be nice to have a newer shower head, caddy & more racks for towels. As far as location, the northshore is tops as well as the location of these units. Management is very helpful but they are a mile or so from the estates. There is an office on site as well as security to help with some matters. Cannot beat the relaxed atmosphere & beauty of this side of Oahu.

The notebook that contains literature from 1996. I suspect that nothing has been done to this condo since then. The carpet had numerous big stains. 50% of the lights downstairs did not work. The back patio door doesn't open. The internet doesn't work (how about providing a wireless router so that I can get internet access on my ipad?). I'm not too picky so I could live with the unkept condition of the condo, but I don't think others would be happy about it.

My spouse and I were in Hawaii for a wedding. The property was very conveniently located. We also did a lot of walking around to be tourists. The condo was very comfortable. It was very well furnished. The internet WIFI connection was a bit weak. Over all we had a great time.

Light bulbs were burnt out, the lamps were old & rusty, wobbly, the window lever to open the window in the living room was broken off--but everything got fixed after we notified mgmt. Would be nicer if the wall pictures were replaced with new updated ones, the small TV was replaced with a flat screen, & the BR had a facelift, but still v. practical & usable. Enjoyed the new applicances in the kitchen & extra bedding/towels. Very nice stay, quiet, peaceful with birds singing in the mornings & immaculate lush grounds full of color & foliage! enjoyed the adult only pool too! Mahalo.

Overall we had a nice vacation but of course the condo needed some maintenance such as sliding door rollers, fridge handle tightened, burnt out light bulbs replaced and livingroom bottom louvers on window fixed. The sliding doors was our biggest concern. You have to be pretty strong to open and close that door. Even the screen door would jam to open or close it. The furniture was quite uncomfortable. That includes the couch and bed. The cleansiness was okay. I've rented from the Estates at Turtle Bay five times now and never had a complaint about the other condos I was in. I would rent unit #126 West again if maintenance was done and newer/comfortable furniture was in the condo.

This rental was exactly what I needed. It is a well kept space completely big enough for one but would be big enough for a couple for sure. It has everything you need from towels and chairs for the beach to anything you'd want in the kitchen. It was only a short walk to the public beach (5 minutes, tops) and the hotel. The staff was very friendly and made the experience easy.

We love staying at the Condos by Turtle Bay. The location is perfect -- just a five minute walk to the beach. It seems very safe and protected. The grounds are beautifully maintained. We have stayed at various condos in this development over the past 10 years. We usually come to Hawaii once or twice a year and we always stay here. This trip we came right after Christmas and there were not as many condos available for our price range. The condo we stayed in (126 West) was smaller and seemed older than the ones we have stayed in on past visits. We still had a great vacation and loved the location but we would probably opt for a little nicer condo next time. We did appreciate the fact that they had a couple of boogie boards in the closet that we could use and a small bed under the staircase that our daughter attending college in Hawaii could use if she wanted to spend the night with us. The property would be much improved if the bathroom and living room furniture was updated and if it had Wifi included. But it was a great price and it is in a good location.

Overall very nice condo, only comments:
Sleeping area gets very warm during the day and even with the AC running it doesn't cool down to a comfortable sleeping temp (and we were there during the winter). Noisy appliances (fridge, washing machine). No phone.
Except for these minor details we had a great time and we would definetly come again, great value!!

Knowing we were going to spend very little time in the rental, there couldn't have been a better selection. The room was clean and comfortable. The rental did require some painting as it looked dirty in some areas and the electrical outlets don't like holding plugs of any sort but that definitely didn't ruin our stay. Excellent budget property.

Check in was not carried out according to the instructions, for first time stayers at the resort an agent should have taken us to the facility and given us a rundown on entry to the estate instead of leaving the keys in the condo and expecting us to figure it all out.

The condo met most of our needs but had two limitations that prevented me from ranking a 5 was the lack of a wifi for 2 working men who occasionally had to use the internet and computer. Also the loft bedroom gets quite warm and the A/C does not cool it down very much. I found that using the portable standing fan did help.nonetheless we had a great time in spite of the hurricane scares. We also found the Kahuku Grill was an excellent site with local ambiance and better food at 1/2 the price of any of the tourist restaurants at Turtle Bay.

The location is great, except for the fact that it shares a very thin wall with a family with lots of screaming children (and screaming parents). If you don't mind the loud noises early in the morning and late at night, you'll be fine. Everything besides that went well until they told us checkout time was at 11 bit sent the maid at 8:30 to come kick us out. Then after I went and dropped the key off at their office location, I got a phone call asking me where my keys were. Very unorganized. Great condo but not worth the extra headaches.

We only stayed 2 nights on the North Shore and just needed a place to sleep, so we didn't use the kitchen or really the living room. The bed is upstairs, with a slanted ceiling, awkward to move around in and it was hot up there. The condo was clean, except the carpet is stained and looks old and dirty. Location was okay. Management was very impersonal. We would not stay here for any extended period of time.

It's hard to find a cheaper condo in Hawaii that isn't falling apart. This vacation rental was perfect for us at a very reasonable price. The location at turtle bay was phenomenal. I can't think of any better unit for a budget traveler to stay in during their Hawaii travels. Everything was clean and the kitchen very well equipped. The AC worked well, plus there was a ceiling fan and a box fan upstairs as well that helped maintain airflow. The staff was very helpful and refined promptly to all of our inquiries. Overall this vacation rental was perfect for us.

The unit is in fairly good shape. Definitely worn, but was still comfortable. The couch was nice but the leather type material is peeling/cracking so it needs to be changed fairly soon. The one a/c isn't powerful enough to cool the whole unit, so I can only imagine being in there mid-summer. The only real issue I had was the bed. There were small hairs still on the pillowcase, and the bed was hard as a rock. The carpeted floor was more forgiving, and I still have back pains from the two nights I stayed. A new mattress NEEDS to be put in that unit.

The Estates at Turtle Bay provided a great studio apartment for my stay on Northern Oahu. The staff was friendly and we had a great location, less than 10 minutes walk from the beach. There were more than enough supplies provided for two people to make it through a five day stay. I would recommend The Estates at Turtle Bay to friends and family traveling to the area.

We arrived a bit after the office closed so we used the code and lockbox. Everything worked as planned. This is a 70-80's condo overall. The picture is the kitchen which has been upgraded. It's very tiny but worked just fine for a couple. Note there is a table for two in the kitchen to eat at, not much else. No condiments in the cabinets which was okay for us. The bath is also very small and in this case had not been upgraded at all. reminded me of the ski condos they slapped up around Mammoth mountain about the same time this was built. It was, very clean, though, and well represented. An added bonus was the stacking washer and dryer. The main living room was as expected. I'm not a big fan of carpet in Hawaii but it is a second floor condo so it was not unexpected. Be very careful going up the stairs to the loft. Very steep and of course the loft headroom was a problem for me at 6'3". Comfy queen bed up there and again everything was decorated simply and nicely. The air condo is a window unit which we ran at night and turned off during the day. It kept the loft okay to sleep in. The view out the condo was across two holes on the golf course out to Kam Hwy. No real noise from the street to speak of. We were able to walk a couple of late nights over to Lei Lei's, the golf course restaurant, for a nightcap. Its very dark with little lighting and a bit of a walk for those getting on a bit. Likewise, the main TB resort is a bit further. Keep in mind these condos are on the property but not affiliated with Turtle Bay. So, overall impressions were that the condo was a bit dated but very well maintained. Minor issues were not unexpected. We didn't spend much time there other than to sleep, make a little breakfast and get on with north shore activities. Its a good value place to stay. Don't expect Turtle Bay luxury because of the name but we expected that going in. Since it is at a very reasonable price we will probably stay here again if occasion arises.

I rented this condo for my mom and I to stay 2 nights after my sister's wedding. There is a queen size bed upstairs in the loft and we had to sleep in different directions to fit on the bed together. I am 5'10" and I couldn't stand up all the way in the upstairs loft area. The "stairs" leading up to the loft are more like a ladder, so taking heavy bags up and down was dangerous. We saw several ants in the bathroom, and no bug spray anywhere. The interior is very outdated and the carpet has numerous stains. The twin "bed" under the stairs is not useable unless you enjoy feeling the hard bars jab into your hips and shoulders. I'm usually able to sleep anywhere, but I could not sleep on this cot/bed. I moved to the couch, but that was just as hard. Don't be fooled by how plush it looks in the pictures.

The sheets and towels were clean, and the bathroom was clean, if outdated. The water pressure was pretty low as well.

If you're by yourself, and not looking for comfort in your room, but just the bare bones, then this place will be fine for you. I, however, will be paying more money next time to get a more comfortable place.

Also, why does the management company make their guests drive 3 miles away to drop off the keys after check out? The keys were waiting inside the condo when I checked in. Why couldn't I have just left them inside the condo when checking out?? The office is tucked away behind buildings and doesn't have a parking lot. It was not convenient to drive over there.

Very nice unit, great location, easy access to the parking stall. Instructions were clear, nice view of the golf course. Would stay again. Only thing is that there is a family of 8 living next door. Keep windows closed and turn on the A/C. If not for this, I would give a 5 star rating.

If you are taller than 4'6", this place is not for you. While lying in bed, you can touch the ceiling. Of course the AC is downstairs, so the cool air struggles to get to where you are sleeping. At the top of the stairs, you almost need to get on your knees to go down the first step. The carpet in the living room has lots of stains and creases that are years old, and the leather sofa has a piece of plywood bolted in under the cushions that makes it extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The paint is peeling on several of the walls as well. The only positive is the kitchen, which is why they show that picture. Other than that, this place is a dump with a TV the size of a computer monitor and no WiFi. It takes the toilet 20 seconds to flush, and the shower head has been clogged for many years, producing not much of a shower. Will not be coming back to this unit again.

I booked a stay at Turtle Bay for 16th wedding anniversary. I had to cancel my trip for emergency surgery. The management would only refund the security deposit and cleaning fee. They would not even consider applying any of the rental fee towards a rescheduled visit in the near future.
