It was a nice stay, good sized condo with a beautiful view of Maalea Bay. There's a full kitchen with appliances, a good sized room, and a living room with Netflix and other streaming platforms. There were binoculars and sun hats which I assume would be for lounging and whale watching, but it wasn';t clear if tenants could use those. The only negatives are location wise it's not super close to any commercial areas like a full service grocery store etc, so you';ll need a car. Also the wifi didn';t work at all during my 5-day stay, so I had to rely on my phone to get WiFi for my laptop.

Well maintained property with a great bed. The manager was very responsive to our requests and the price is the best we found. Be aware the area is quite windy and you won't get sunsets, but a trip north or south will provide for that. The harbor is within walking distance for boat trips which is a real pluds.

We arrived late at night and had no problem getting into the condo with the code Chelsea had sent to us. The bed was very comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. We woke up to the most amazing view ever!!!! We ate every meal out on the lanai watching the whales, boats, and even surfers one day! Very quite and relaxing place. The complex is very clean despite its age. It was nice to have an elevator and a cart to get all the belongings up to the room. Everyone we met that lived there or worked there was very nice. The tile around the pool was being worked on but the guys doing the work were more than happy to allow us to swim while they worked on a walkway. It is a very nice pool! The condo was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Loved having a salad spinner!! My husband loved grilling out every night on one of the new gas grills. Our grandson came over and spent the night with us and he loved sleeping on the sofa sleeper. Said it was very comfortable and he loved hearing the sound of the waves! The location was perfect for getting to all locations around the island. My husband loved the Power Block weights for working out with and I loved the fact that I had a yoga mat to use for my workouts! When I could not find a hair dryer, I asked Chelsea about it and she said there should be one there. I not only found one, but four of them hidden in a secret draw in the bathroom! There is always a breeze coming through the condo and at night this made for good sleeping! Due to the breezy conditions, with windows open, you will have some dust on the floors. This is true Maui life! Overall we were very impressed with the condo and the beautiful property. Plenty of hangers and drawer space for clothes too! I would definitely recommend staying in Maalaea Kai #316.

We had a great time as usual but after 30 years of visiting Maui, we are calling this our last trip. Becoming too far and too expensive. Our stay at Maalaea Kai 316 was OK we missed a dishwasher, and the carpets were kind of dirty. My wife also picked up some bites on her ankles and dont know where the came from. Still bothered by them as of 3/8/20 We left Maui on 2/19/20.

We were very happy with the condo location and the condo itself. It was very clean and well supplied with beach equipment. Although the unit has no A/C, the trade winds blow right through the unit keeping it well ventilated. The only unfortunate thing was a scheduled yard maintenance spread manure over the entire lawn while we were there which caused the whole area to smell and make the pool/lawn unusable for a couple of days. Although unavoidable, our rental agent was supposed to inform us about it but did not. Even still, I would stay there again without hesitation.

This condo was perfect for my husband and I. It is in a quiet place but not too far from Kihei or Lahaina, so you can easily drive to those places if you want to. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. It had a fully equipped kitchen and even some beach supplies so we could walk to the nearby local beach. I love that it's walking distance to the Ocean Center and the Harbor. No A/C, but if you open up all the windows you can get good airflow. Overall, I will be coming back to stay at this condo again! I also recommend working with the concierge, Matt, at Hawaii Life. He helped us book a fishing tour and a Luau and they were both so fun! He made the process really easy for us!

My first visit to Hawaii! This place was almost perfect! Everything was stocked better than anywhere else I have stayed! There was plenty of towels and everything was very clean. We had friends staying down the street, so we did lots of day trips on the island! Food was wonderful everywhere we went!

This was our 4th trip staying in Ma'alaea Bay and our 1st time at Ma'alaea Kai. We loved it! The unit, 316, was well supplied in the kitchen as well as with beach/day outing stuff. The view from our lanai was the best and you could hear the waves all the time, even in the bedroom. The property was well kept including the pool and lawn area. There were plenty of lounge chairs. I walked every morning on the beach. Though there was no sandy beach, (only a beautiful sea wall), it only took a 7" walk on the uncrowded road to get to sand. Once there, you can walk for miles. The location is strategically located from the airport (20"), Kihei (10"), Makenna (25"), and Lahaina (20"). It is in walking distance to the harbor and restaurants. The property manager was easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again.

,Maalaea is our favorite city in Maui to stay in. It is centrally located and easy to get to everything. This one bedroom condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The ocean front view is amazing. We love Maalaea Kai! Hawaii Life was the best!

Our stay at Maalaea Kai was simply put, wonderful. The facility, condo, grounds, pool, lawn, day and nighttime views, laissez-faire way of being, safe surroundings, and central "quiet corner" location gave us everything we wanted for our vacation "headquarters". We stayed there and rested, circumnavigated the island for 2 days, swam in the pool and the local beach park, hiked the long beach south and played visual tag with the scores of sea turtles. For skywatchers, we saw several meteors decorate the night as we ate candlelight dinners out on our balcony. MAHALO to all who delivered this to us.

This property is located on the ocean in Ma'alaea, Maui. We like this area because of it's central location and ocean views. The condo is located in a facility that is well maintained, with pleasant grounds and a nice pool. This unit is a good size for couple and could accommodate two more on the sofa bed in a pinch. The kitchen is small but workable with adequate dishes and an assortment of cookware. The laundry is in a separate room shared with other guests. It had three washers and dryers that were commercial grade and held more and were faster than the typical condo size units.The weather was a little warmer than normal, but there were enough fans to make up for the lack of AC. Having coffee on the lanai and watching the sunrise behind Haleakala was priceless!This location is a great spot for watching turtles feed right next to the property's seawall. There was even one resting on the beach a short walk from the condo. The views and central location make this a good choice for anyone who doesn't need the overpriced resort experience.
