One of the more sought after aspects of a vacation rental (or home for that matter) on Kauai is to be one of a kind; to have a view that can only be cherished by those privy to the specific angles and perspectives a particular property provides. Kumulani, perched on a ridge between Kalihiwai Bay and Anini Beach, is a perfect example.
This 3,000 square foot home is a comfort zone in and out. Upstairs highlights include high ceilings, a spacious kitchen with wrapping granite countertops, an elegant dining area and a roomy living area. The master suite has a king bed, a spacious lanai and a charming Hawaiian chic decor. Downstairs, one bedroom features a king bed, the other has one double bed, and both have private baths and direct access to the pool and open lanai perfectly suited for a day (or days) of leisure.
Located between the towns of Kilauea and Princeville, all the eating, shopping and fun-in-the-sun glory the North Shore has to offer is a short drive away, but when all of that is through, privacy and quiet are the last features of the day.
Property Manager is a locally owned, licensed real estate company with rentals on Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and Hawaii. We offer on-island personal assistance and Concierge services.

First the location: it sits on a hill overlooking a quiet ocean beach in one direction and a breathtaking river valley in the other. It is set among beautifully maintained gardens that create just the loveliest, most peaceful environment imaginable.
As to the house itself:
The light-filled master suite is on the top level by itself with its own deck and views of the ocean in two directions. Extremely welcoming, it receives near-constant breezes.
The main living area is one floor below, with two comfortable and well-furnished seating areas. There is an excellent kitchen and a laundry room that I wish I could transport back to my own house. A huge wraparound porch on this level takes advantage of the great views.
Yet one more floor below are two more spacious, comfortable bedrooms, with baths. A door on this floor leads out to the pool – simple and elegant.
This house is so thoughtfully designed and impeccably constructed that every day we found new things to admire.
Every amenity, from the towels and linens to the beach chairs/umbrella, from the furnishings to the cedar blocks in the bedroom drawers(!) was top-notch.
The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. And a real, unexpected bonus was the art: Throughout the house are paintings representing Hawaiian artists – it’s a bit like living in a delightful gallery.
We probably ended up doing fewer island activities than we might have otherwise because we simply enjoyed being in the house so much. And in a place like Kauai, that says a lot.
